Cream of UK Gospel Music at Gospel Summit 2014

Gospel Summit 2014 Independents BreakthroughAnnoOn Saturday 14th June the cream of British Gospel music graced The Drum in Birmingham to meet with leading UK music industry bodies  (AIM, PRS and CCLI).  This was the UK Gospel Summit 2014 and what a weekend it was!  We heard from a music historian, founding fathers and music entrepreneurs such as Ryan Bruce of Glocal World Entertainment.    The presentations and discussions created a lot of buzz and as part of the event organising team (GMIA and Green Tree) it was pleasing to hear positive feedback on the quality of information people were taking away to improve and develop their artistry.

The first ever UK Gospel Music Video Awards (JUMP Awards) honoured artiste and producers on Friday night and the videos had phenomenal ideas in portraying the message of the song. Wow!  Check out the nominated videos on the JUMP Music Video website.

Church leaders and ministers attending the Friday business luncheon received the unveiling of the concept for a UK Gospel songwriters Song book for churches and the creation of a Gospel music circuit in the UK. The two days was closed with a ‘Know Showcase’ concert of singers, DJs and musicians.

I guess I have recovered now, my feet had walked miles in handling the logistics of the weekend but it was worth it to know that more individuals are empowered to develop their music business and enterprise.

Oh yes, I also played!
