An Unexpected throwback with a double bass quintet

Who doesn’t remember the Pink Panther? This franchise started on 1963 with a movie that already featured the unmistakable “Pink Panther Theme Song”, one that I am sure we all can hum on command, haha. This great composition was created by Henry Mancini, who gave us sax players a track that just cannot flop (and that is a lot of fun to play!). Well, not only sax players enjoy this theme, as we can see here with a double bass quintet leaded by Božo Paradžik:

This rendition on strings is fantastic, and the fact that Mr. Paradžik invited his students to collaborate on the piece makes it even more special. Here, then, you have today’s music recommendation. Remember to grab your headphones!
