‘Kingston Town’ is a song originally by Lord Creator that kickstarted the 70s with all the right vibes. However, most of us in the UK know this song thanks to UB40, which released their cover in 1989. I wanted to pay tribute to this great song and the relevance it had in the consolidation of Jamaican music scene (even if Lord Creator himself is actually from Trinidad and Tobago, he’s considered a fundamental outside force for Jamaican music) and that’s why I bring you today the lockdown performance of my sax cover.
