Oh my God your article (My Most Difficult Gig Yet) touched me so much. My birthday was recently and I actually thought of you this evening. I am taking an exam early January and miss the saxophone so much. I had to park it pending my exam. To be 150 percent focussed on my exam I decided last week to get rid of my Facebook account and Instagram account. I put my iPhone on shuffle tonight and your tune ‘My love (instrumental)’ popped up. I love your tune. It is so beautiful. Again I am focussed on my exam but listening to your tune gave me the strength to carry on, only 6 eeeks left, because if I smash my exam I will buy myself a new saxophone. One I always dframed of. And get back into playing sax in any case in 2019. 😊 So see you maybe in 2019. Best wishes
I signed up for the Cafemnee Sept 2017 ‘Take Control Of Your Sound’ and March 2018 – ‘Your Mind Is Your Music’ workshops and a one-to-one session with Millicent Stephenson and it was all just the spur I needed. Armed with a new steely determination to conquer my fears and develop my vocal instrument, I sought out an open mic slot at RJZZ and at the Mango Lounge venues….It’s been the most exhilarating feeling however, to come off stage genuinely knowing that I gave my personal best and “smashed it”.
‘Our family thought you were exceptional, a professional and sensitive to the occasion. It was money well spent and it made the day a memorable occasion. A consensus agreement it was a good choice. Millicent again many thanks. We would highly recommend your services. God bless’.
‘Huge thanks for making our wedding day so memorable. You are extremely talented and really have made a lasting impression on all of our guests. We cannot thank you enough and will continue to recommend you to anyone who requires such an amazing saxophonist. With love….’

‘I would like to take this opportunity to say a very big Thank You for the wonderful performance, everyone enjoyed it to the max, and the way you interacted with the people was amazing. Keep up the good work and I pray that the good Lord will continue to bless and grant you favours in all your undertakings. Once again many thanks, and hope you are available to work our charity again in the future. God bless you’.

‘I am no expert music critic but have recognised in your work excellent writing/arrangement qualities and use of the sax in a smooth Jazzy R&B style. The two tracks (This Is Life EP) are compositions I would recommend listening to anytime of the day’.

‘I have had the privilege and honour to engage Millicent Stephenson to perform at various events for several years, these include performing for The Lord Mayor Of Birmingham Charity Concerts, The Rotary Club of Birmingham, The Association of Jamaican Nationals Local Heroes Gala and Awards. Her professionalism and artistry commands an audience.
Millicent was a Scholar of the Late Great Andy Hamilton MBE and like the “Master” Millicent will be a great Ambassador to her chosen instrument the Saxophone and Jazz Music.
I am pleased to have a long standing connection and relationship with this very talented and unique artist’.
Beverly Lindsay OBE, OD. Association of Jamaican Nationals
‘Millicent Stephenson is a unique performer who shows her versatility and virtuosity at every performance. Her ability to move an audience is awesome. Having seen her perform at the Jamaica 50 Cultural Extravaganza and Salute to the Jamaican Olympic Team at Birmingham Symphony Hall on the same stage with Beverley Knight, Jaki Graham, and Musical Youth, Jimmy James to name a few, you know she is the real thing. It was a pleasure to work with such a talented saxophonist’.
