Fill Your Diary Without Emptying Your Pockets

As I’ve mentioned many times, I believe every musician should be paid their worth. This doesn’t only mean that we must get paid a sum of money that corresponds to our time and talent: said amount must also reach us in a timely manner and with no incident: no surprise fees, no unexpected changes in the method of payment, etc.

There are many things that you can do in order to prevent unpleasant turns of events in regard to payments. One that definitely saves me many headaches is to make sure that I’m paid before gigs. That way, I don’t have to chase anyone for money nor worry about my travel expenses. If you’re new to the industry, the prospect of asking to be paid in advance might be daunting, but rest assured that it’s the right way to go about things!

If you don’t know how to start doing it, no worries: I’ve got you. Simply download my free booklet, Ten Reasons Why They’ll Pay You Before Gig Day, and get practical advice that you can apply immediately, proved by my decades of experience in the music industry.

Now, if the problem is a lack of gigs, I suggest you purchase my online course, Learn The Secrets Of How To Overcome An Empty Diary And Get Gigs Time And Time Again. I designed fourteen lessons for this course, in which you’ll learn how to get noticed by promoters and clients, how to approach them, and how to handle their enquiries and bookings. By improving the way you operate during gigs, you’ll also increase your impact and ensure that your clients remember you for their next event!

If you’re interested in hearing more of my thoughts and tips about this topic, you can listen to my podcast Success Beyond The Score, where I discuss many aspects of the business side of music. Season 3, episode 5, Three Reasons Why You Should Start Charging For Your Music Starting Today!, is particularly relevant.

I hope all this information helps you get the payment that you deserve. Be sure to share with fellow musicians and artists, there’s enough place in the world for all of us!
