It’s Easter Sunday, it’s April, and spring is here to stay. Regardless of whether you observe Easter as part of your religion, I wish you a peaceful day and I invite you to reflect on the good things that still shine in your life, despite our turbulent times.
Everything we do entails risks, even not doing anything. Assessing and managing risks is just part of life. When you’re a performer, you must consider the risks for everybody participating in your show: from your fellow musicians and assistants, to the audience, to the venue and its owners.
As I’ve mentioned many times, I believe every musician should be paid their worth. This doesn’t only mean that we must get paid a sum of money that corresponds to our time and talent: said amount must also reach us in a timely manner and with no incident.
