I bet that’s not a question most people ask themselves frequently. We are used to sweep that kind of topics under the rug. However, this is only a disservice to the entire community of musicians, including those that undergo menopause and those who don’t. For that reason, I wrote an article with all about it for the Musicians’ Union.
Last Monday, we commemorated International Women’s Day. We had the opportunity to reflect and have a conversation about the issues that still stand in the way of gender equality. It is important that we don’t let the interest die with the change of day. That’s why today I recommend the reading “Gender Disparity In UK Jazz – A Discussion”.
