I’m really happy to be back to the Natwest Accelerator programme. It’s my third and last time! As I’ve mentioned before, Natwest created this programme to help entrepreneurs in the United Kingdom scale their business to the next level. I’ve been developing Success Beyond The Score with it and the results have been incredibly beneficial.
There are some old faces and some new faces, both among the attendants and the mentors. The continuity with the latter has been key in our processes. My mentor Chelsea, for example, has been a great guide. Our monthly meetings keep me grounded and with my eyes fixed on my goals. It’s comforting and motivating, especially when combined with mentoring sessions by other professionals that focus on specific things, like strategic plans.
Among attendants, friendship blooms and unlikely connections happen. Networking within the group is very organic. Someone tells you about a venue they booked, and it’s exactly what you’ve been looking for. Two people talk to you about their experience with homeschooling, and you introduce them to each other. Someone’s project is a dance school, and several people from the programme decide to attend a class. Things like this happen all the time. We contribute each other’s processes and dreams.
It’s bittersweet to know this is my last cycle with the Natwest Accelerator programme. I’m happy to have received so much guidance, and I feel ready to reach for the clouds. At the same time, I’m nostalgic in advance for the collaborative and innovative space I’ll leave behind. I’ll enjoy it and learn from it to the max, and once it’s over, I’ll keep the friendships, connections and teachings I got close to my heart while I climb up the next steps of the ladder!
