On Wednesday 6th August, I took part of the civic flag raising ceremony to commemorate the independence of Jamaica. The event was organised by the Association of Jamaican Nationals Birmingham, and it took place at Victoria Square.

We had good weather, the ceremony was beautiful, and I had the chance to play some of my favourite Caribbean songs. Here’s a little peek at the process required to play live outdoors. The clips were recorded by Sun.REI:
