American gospel artist, pastor, and actor Deitrick Haddon is well known for his progressive approach to gospel, never shying away from fusions and contemporary styles of music. As an example of this, he teamed up with the Zaytoven, pioneer of the trap genre, for his last single, called Sick World.
Two years ago, I had the pleasure to perform ‘Old Rugged Cross’, one of my favourite hymns, on the Easter Sunday celebration service of Triumphant Church International. It was a beautiful evening in their London location, and now that we are spending Easter at home due to the circumstances, I am finding peace in revisiting it.
