Who is Beverley Crichlow?

Bev Critchlow Image consultant Millicent Stephenson SaxWho is Beverley Crichlow?

Did you know that your appearance is the first thing people see before you sing or play and they make initial judgements about your talent based on that?  Whenever I’m asked to perform at a Gig or to play keys at Church, my first thought is what am I playing and my second is ‘what shall I wear?’… A little vain? Maybe. 🙂 In the past I would go through my waldrobe and sometimes nothing was quite right.  Doesn’t fit, wrong shade, wrong design, not-me-anymore, and sometimes I end up feeling just a little depressed because my appearance would not be where I want it to be for my performance.

When I had my daughter, many moons ago, I felt very frumpy and it was a image consultant present with Beverley by my husband that gave me a new lease of life.  I went on my merry way since then, adjusting and doing my thing on and off stage.  My styling changed over time.  So last year I  said to myself ‘Millicent, your turning 55 next year, it’s so easy to become a frumpy musician, check you health, trim your size and meet up with Beverley’ so that’s what I did.  During the consult she made some suggestions which I followed and you know what, it has made a hugh difference to my performance and perception.   So I thought I would share her expertise with the ladies in the next Cafemnee event to help with this intricate female question…’what shall I wear?’
