What comes to mind when you hear the word ‘Opera’? For me I think of strong singing voices, acting, dancing, costumes, a story in a language I do not understand and a large and full auditorium. I’ve never really thought about what it takes to be an opera singer so I was elated when Abigail Kelly, who is an international operatic soprano, accepted my invitation to be a Guest on my podcast ‘Success Beyond The Score’. Hear about her journey, why she chose Opera and not Pop and her lows and successes during lockdown.
Recently my Guest Blog ‘The Journey Of A Menopausal Musician’ for the Musicians Union caught the attention of Jemma Tanswell, the Director of Reform Radio Station in Manchester. Jemma invited me to be a Guest on their Round Table discussion for International Women’s Day via Zoom.
So pleased to be featured in another book by Sammy Stein, ‘In Their Own Words’. Got my copy today so excited to read it. ‘In Their Own Words’ features 21 women including telling our music stories. Thanks Sammy
