It’s been super busy for me that it feels like a century since I last spoke to you. I’ve been either attending training sessions to improve my music and business; finalising, running and tidying off Cafemnee ‘What Shall I Wear?’ as well as teaching, writing, prep for Gigs, performances, and a MU Regional Committee meeting…the list is endless, super busy century but enjoyable. So any way, I had to down tools a moment and say a quick hi and let you know I have not forgotten you. But guess what? A really special Gig is happening for me this Saturday night and I just had to give a quick mention.
A momentous occasion! I’ll be playing at the 100th Birthday celebration for Mrs Zillah Brown. Yes! No mistake, she will be one hundred years young! A Century in age, this Saturday. Amazing! Mrs Brown will receive her letter from Her Majesty the Queen this Saturday and it will be presented to her at the Party by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Yvonne Mosquito isn’t that something!
I met Mrs Brown a couple months ago, in one of the meetings to plan her celebration with her daughter Sheryl. To me Mrs Brown is agile and spritely. To look at, you wouldn’t think she is 99 and soon to be a centenarian. Can you image what she’s seen and done? All the fashions she’s worn? Can’t wait to hear the tributes, stories and most importantly her keynote speech.
Looking forward to a great occassion in my super busy century.
