National Saxophone Day 2024 At Three Snowhill

November 6th is National Saxophone Day in honour of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of this wonderful instrument, who was born on that day in 1814. If you’re wondering what happens that day, or how the celebration takes place, well, there’s a little of everything. From gatherings of saxophonists, to dedicated radio segments, to discounts and special offers, you name it. Of course, there are also plenty of saxophone performances for the occasion. Yesterday, I started the celebrations early with one of those, playing at the beautiful Three Snowhill building of Birmingham.

The reception hall of the building, which is the home of BT and National Highways, is truly fascinating. I loved to have a stage in the midst of such great architecture! You can see some shots on my Instagram account.

Sharing the sound of the saxophone with the staff was a brilliant way to celebrate the day, and I hope my music helped some new people fall in love with my favourite instrument. If you already like it, and you want me to perform at your own venue or event, remember that I have a booking form that you can fill with your enquiry!
