Dr. Doreen J. Ketchens has changed the way many people, in and out of the academic field, see the clarinet. Her unique approach to the instrument comes from the fusion of classical training and a passion for jazz, soul and gospel. In addition to her inventive interpretation of the clarinet, she’s also an outstanding singer and a spectacular personality on stage.
If you’ve been following this series, or my music in general, the name Courtney Fadlin will definitely ring a bell. This brilliant American jazz saxophonist is the mind behind the online concert ‘Sax Interpretations – Ladies Edition’, in which I participated back in 2020.
At the beginning of the month, we went as a family to watch Spy × Family – Code: White, an animated spy action and comedy film that has an excellent original soundtrack.
