Today was the day when BBC1, Songs of Praise, came to the Cafemnee Jam Session to find out more about what it is and how Cafemnee is impacting female musicians to excel in their music.
It was exciting, exhilarating and fun – and I was not expecting that. The cameras, lights, mics and even the close ups were not off putting and I noticed the women too, were put at ease very quickly. I was warmly interviewed by Josie D’Arby and I found the team, lead by Mark Warburton (Director), down to earth and friendly.

Thank you Rev Jacqueline Newsome and her congregation at the New Testament Church Of God, Erdington, Birmingham for hosting Cafemnee again and making the Songs of Praise team so welcomed. And also Stephen Brown (Musicians Union) for your support and advice.
Well lots more can be said about our Cafemnee Jam with BBC 1 Songs of Praise but I will be placing all of that on our Cafemnee Facebook page over the next couple of weeks, so visit there for more shots and blogs Cafemnee Facebook. Thanks Chris Mair for the photos!
Oh, as soon as I know, I will let you know when the transmission date of our Cafemnee Jam session and interviews will take place on BBC1 Songs Of Praise.
