So first let me say thank you for being so supportive and sending well wishes, encouraging messages and emails regarding my post ‘my most difficult gig yet‘. It really means a lot to read your postive take on things and got me seeing the situation in a completely different light. Thank you so much.
I hope you had a good weekend. Saturday went like I had mentioned but rapidly. I updated Gary and Stuart (Producers of ‘Take Me To The King‘) about the release. When I registered the track with CD Baby I had to make a couple of changes to the text in the artwork so that the systems would match the track to our Apple Music accounts. Now that that stage of the process is all done and dusted Stuart will be updating the metadata in the mp3 which will be included in a promo pack ready for sending to contacts at Radio Stations.
Now Sunday was a little bit of a struggle. As I mentioned in my previous blog I love my job and I can quite easily and comfortably work flat out 7 days a week. So this Sunday was the first of a couple were I pledged not to work flat out and take a day off. No computer, no practise, no phone socials, etc. The aim is to get my working week from 7 to 6 and eventually 5 days over the next few months because its healthy. So I chilled, but it was really really hard. Man! really hard!!!!!!!!! To be honest I did do one tincy wincy work thing!!! After Church I was asked about Take Me To The King so I sent out a watsapp with my Shop link but apart from that I sat on my hands…honest, but I kept thinking of ways to get on my computer like, may be Stuart has sent the updated track for the Radio pack, and maybe I could just check my email and look only for that and nothing else but then maybe there would be a really juicy email or notification that might just be worth checking….But I didn’t 🙂
Anyway, today is about doing one more thing to towards my Single release and launch so if you can think of any Radio Shows or Radio Stations who like sax music and reggae-gospel that I can approach, or if you have Radio contacts and are happy to approach them for me, then please let me know. You can send them to my SoundCloud (see below) to hear a sample of the track or they can hear the full track on Spotify (see below). Ask them to email me their details so I can send them the Radio pack for their show. Cool! Thanks! 🙂
Bye for now.
