We Are In Summer, But I Am Listening To Winter.

It’s not that I don’t like the heat. Even this strange summer of staying home and keeping from checking the news too frequently is a lovely season. But I am talking about the very famous group of four violin concerti by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, dedicated to the four seasons. From those pieces, my favourite is Winter, that you can find in the following video witht the timestamp 32:48.

This excellent rendition of the concerti by the Budapest Strings under the direction of Bela Banfalvi helps me connect with classical music and get inspired to try new things. It sounds a bit funny, to be inspired to innovate by music from the 18th century, but that’s the charm of the arts, isn’t it?
