by Millicent Stephenson on January 16, 2019January 16, 2019

My quote for my day. Some of your best traits and your finest works will grow out of the incredibly painful periods of your life.

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to visit the Czech Republic on a mission trip with my church. Learn all about what I did, who I met, what I saw, and whether or not I drank hot spring water by reading the latest entry of my website's blog: https://millicentstephenson.com/2023/09/22/a-woman-on-a-mission-in-czech-republic/
Really nice to relax after two late night gigs. A relaxing afternoon at Edgbaston Stadium. England v New Zealand. #cricket
'Superstition' is one of the songs I played at Wednesday Mic Fever the other night. I love it very much as Stevie Wonder is one of my favourite artistes. Also, it was fantastic playing with the Not Just Jazz Band again. It's been a while, as lockdown changed a lot of things. These guys are off the chart!
I'm on the second round of the @gxgospelawards! Vote me as best musician/band of the year by going to www.thegxawards.com/voting and following the easy steps you can see on slides 2 and 3. If you want some recommendations about who to vote for in other categories —and how to attend the awards ceremony on September 2nd— take a look at my blog on www.millicentstephenson.com
On my way to Czech Republic, with Sandra and Mike, via Frankfurt.
Playing tonight with the Band. 7.30pm. See you there, no probs if you can't, but please share either way 🙂👍🏿
If you are a woman in music wondering how to take your next step forward, let's meet this Saturday 10th June on a venue in Birmingham (UK) to have some coffee and cake while talking about Time For My Music! Get to know the community and its members, hear our success stories, build relationships and find out how we can help you advance your music career. Attending the event is completely free and includes a short course about PA systems.
It's been a while, but I playing live with the Band on Wed 7th June, 7.30pm at the Legacy Centre, Potters Lane, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Second day on natwest Accelerator. Takung my music business further 😊👍🏿
So pleased to be accepted onto the second stage of the NatWest Accelerator programme. Yippee!
It has been a year since the song "I’m That Woman", by Toyin Adekale and friends, was released. This track is perfect for the commemoration of International Women’s Day, as it is the culmination of Toyin’s dreams of sisterhood and artistic collaboration among women.
As I mentioned a few days ago, I was nominated as a Thought Leader for the @thebatonawards 2022. This made me very happy and proud because it told me that my work is having a positive impact and being recognised.
