Re/counted is a project which seeks to capture the development and growth of gospel music throughout the Midlands from the arrival of Windrush. I’m featured in two episodes!
Millicent Stephenson explores the impact of the Windrush Generation on both her personal musical development, and on the development of music in the UK as a whole.
Since 2018, the UK committed to celebrate Windrush Day every year on June 22, to honor the British Caribbean community.
