‘Bridge over troubled waters’ lockdown performance

Today I performed at the Association of Jamaican Nationals service of praise and thanksgiving, for the 58th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence. Although there is some easing in the UK, live performances are still not up and running so this event and my playing was a lockdown performance over Zoom and YouTube Live.

The theme for the Service was ‘We Shall Overcome’. I decided to do a Sax cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Waters’ because for me it is such a powerful and emotional song. It describes supporting a friend in difficulty and letting them know you are there, whenever. It takes ‘we’ to overcome and ‘Bridge Over Troubled Waters’ really sums this up.

I have the video recording of me playing ‘Bridge Over Troubled Waters’ lockdown performance from today’s Gig on my YouTube channel if you missed it earlier on or want to watch it again. 🙂

By the way, while you are there why not subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can be the first to see my new video releases which always air a few hours before here on my website.

Enjoy.
